“Ombre d’Ambra”- Garganega Igt – Pialli
Vinification: Garganega, 100%, harvested late in early October from white calcareous soils. The wine embodies an artisanal, orange-wine spirit: late picking yields over-ripe fruit, then a two-week maceration with the skins before 15 months in oak barriques. Wild fermentation, unfiltered and minimally clarified, with low sulphites, preserves a spontaneous character. Amber hues emerge as the tannins and fruit fuse during long skin contact. The result is a lively, approachable wine that simply begs to be enjoyed.
Tasting Note: An opulent orange wine, lush and full-bodied with an intense amber hue. It balances ripe apricot and quince fruit with vanilla, cloves, minerals and soft tannins. The aroma is layered: dried apricot, orange peel, quince jam, buckwheat honey, plus acacia, chamomile, sage and mint. On the palate it is lush and dry, apricot and quince ahead of vanilla and spice, framed by bright acidity and a persistent finish.
