Châteauneuf du Pape Aoc Rouge – Puy de Safre – Domaine de la Graveirette
Vinification: It is crafted entirely from Grenache grapes, harvested by hand from vines planted in 1956 on the Crau plateau. The unique terroir, characterised by a mix of sand and clay, contributes to its complexity. The grapes undergo both whole-bunch and destemmed fermentation in stainless steel, lasting for three to four weeks, followed by 24 months of aging in steel tanks, ensuring a pure expression of its vibrant fruit and subtle earthiness.
Tasting Note: It entices with a nose of leather and fur, complemented by vibrant black plum, mulberry, and violet. Entirely fermented and aged in stainless steel, it delivers intense, concentrated flavours, featuring savoury raspberry and floral notes, with elegant tannins. The wine’s rich palate concludes with an earthy finish, showcasing a true sense of place and garrigue elements.
