Cuvée Héritage 1757 – Côtes de Bourg Aop Rouge – Château Gros Moulin
Vinification: Heritage 1757 pays tribute to an eleven-generation family tradition at the estate, showcasing the distinctive character of Malbec alongside 40% Merlot. Crafted from a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot, this Bordeaux wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged for twelve months in new French oak barrels. After bottling, it requires nearly five years of maturation, allowing it to develop a refined drinking experience, exemplifying the estate’s rich heritage and commitment to quality.
Tasting Note: A dark red wine, nearly opaque due to its Malbec base, captivates with notes of roasted coffee and cinnamon on the nose. Richly fruity on the palate, it reveals layers of strawberry, blackcurrant, and ripe plum, complemented by hints of leather and firm tannins. Aromas of eucalyptus, forest berries, and sweet spices linger, creating a beautifully complex tasting experience that balances freshness and softness.
