Losana Pinot Nero Riserva Oltrepo’ Pavese Dop – Ca’ di Frara

Vinification: This 100% Pinot Noir thrives in limestone-clay soil at an altitude of 190 metres, with a south-western exposure on slopes of 25% to 30%. Cultivated using the low Guyot cordon system, each hectare houses 6,600 vines, yielding 70 quintals. Harvested in the second week of September, it ferments at 22° to 27°C for 15 days, followed by 12 months in barriques and another year in the bottle, developing depth and complexity.

Tasting note: A vivid, deep ruby wine. Its elegant and complex bouquet reveals notes of berries, a whisper of rose, and persistent herbaceous hints, interwoven with Mediterranean nuances of bay leaves, cloves, roasted coffee, and bittersweet cocoa. The remarkably balanced tannins are soft and velvety, making it an exceptional choice for long-term aging.
