Malbec Cahors Les Causses – Domaine de Fages – Château Les Croisille

Vinification: This exquisite 100% Malbec hails from 40-year-old vines on the limestone plateau of Luzech. Hand-harvested and meticulously sorted, the grapes are vinified with indigenous yeasts in demi-muids, with some whole clusters included. The wine undergoes a 25-day maceration and is then aged for 18 to 24 months in the same demi-muids, reflecting the meticulous practices of organic and biodynamic farming for a complex and elegant flavour profile.

Tasting note:  A deep purple colour and an aromatic bouquet of black fruit and floral notes. The palate features velvety tannins with hints of liquorice and menthol, while aging reveals truffles and undergrowth. The influential Causse limestone adds a taut elegance and vibrant freshness, complemented by a delicate chalky finish.
