Nero di Troia “Pinataro” Puglia Igp – Tagaro

Vinification: From the north-eastern Bari region, 250/300 m above sea level, in sandy, calcareous-clay soils, it reveals its character. The red wine begins with a pre-fermentative cold maceration to draw aromatic hues, then ferments in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. After gentle racking and pressing, it undergoes malolactic fermentation before four months’ maturation in medium-toasted French oak. Bottled with a brief bottle-ageing, it gains poise and finesse.

Tasting Note: Deep ruby with violet reflections, this Nero di Troia dances with dark berry fruit and violet lift, tempered by sweet spices and a whisper of vanilla. The palate is full-bodied yet elegant, with soft, silky tannins and a long, persistent finish. Aromas of blueberries, blackberries, plum and black cherry mingle with cedar-like, balsamic notes, delivering a balanced, round character that lingers warmly on the tongue.
