Petit Verdot Rosato – Altro – Tenuta San Bartolomeo
Vinification: The process begins with a meticulous selection of Petit Verdot grapes, typically hand-harvested to ensure the highest quality. Once collected, the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed, allowing for a brief maceration of several hours to extract subtle pigments and aromas from the skins. The must is then separated and transferred to stainless steel tanks or glass containers for fermentation at controlled temperatures between 15°C and 18°C, preserving its fresh, fruity character. After fermentation, the wine is filtered and may undergo a short maturation period before being bottled.
Tasting note: The Petit Verdot rosé showcases a delicate pale pink hue, revealing fresh aromas of strawberries, raspberries, and cherries, enriched by floral notes and subtle minerality. On the palate, it is vibrant and well-balanced, with juicy fruit and citrus accents. Its clean finish invites another sip, making it ideal for aperitifs or pairing with light dishes.
