Territory:
This wine is predominantly made from Pinot Noir and benefits from a harmonious blend of climate and geology. It is produced entirely from grapes grown in the Côte des Bar, which is located in the southern part of the Champagne production area. The average age of the vineyards is 25 years, and they are planted on hard calcareous soil with Kimmeridgian subsoil. The vines are trained using the “Cordon de Royat” method and are cultivated with low yields.
Winemaking:
The NV Récolte Noire Zéro Dosage (White Label) is a Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature. The non-vintage base wine is from the 2015 harvest and includes approximately 30% reserve wines from the 2014 and 2013 vintages. Vinification and refinement occur in Burgundy barrels for at least 4 to 5 years, followed by light filtration.
Tasting Notes:
This wine features an intense gold colour and offers a fine and delicate bouquet of pear and lemon, supported by a smoky mineral texture. It also presents floral notes of vanilla and blond tobacco.
