Monastrell Rosado – Valencia Do – Bodega Casa Los Frailes
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested from bush vines, thriving at an altitude of 650 metres in nutrient-rich soils. The winemaking involves direct pressing in a pneumatic press, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, enhanced by judicious pump-overs. The wine matures in ancient concrete vats, which promote micro-oxygenation, with further ageing on the lees and soft battonages, resulting in a rich, textured rosé that honours the land’s diverse ecosystems.
Tasting Note: It shows a pale pink hue and enticing aromas of strawberries, cherries, and citrus. On the palate, it offers a smooth, refreshing experience, where bright red fruit flavours intertwine with subtle spice and minerality. The finish is clean and elegant, leaving a lingering impression that beckons for another sip.
