“Sottobora” Rosso Marche Igt – Lacrima di Morro d’Alba – Il Gelsomoro

Vinification: A 100% Lacrima wine, harvested at the close of September. The grapes undergo indigenous-yeast fermentation in stainless steel, then rest for about 18 months on the lees in oak tonneaux, before a further nine months refining in bottle. The result is an intense red that aims to express the Lacrima grape’s character.

Tasting Note: In an impenetrable violet hue, this wine offers a bouquet of rose, violet, red fruits, lavender and aromatic herbs, finished with balsamic overtones. On the palate it is medium-tannic, velvety and well-structured, with the undergrowth fruitiness lingering. A persistent finish and the deep colour are characteristic of the grape.
