“Bianco Fornace” Arneis – Cascina Fornace
Vinification: From Santo Stefano Roero, on 40-year-old vines at about 350 metres, in sandy soils with clay and silt, this is 100% Arneis. Vinification is natural, with alcoholic fermentation carried out by indigenous yeasts and no synthetic vineyard inputs, preserving the terroir’s authentic expression. Bianco Fornace (Cascina Fornace) is 100% Arneis from Roero’s hills, Piemonte. An artisanal, spontaneous fermentation, sustainable viticulture without herbicides; a dry, fresh, mineral white that mirrors the sands of Roero, with a non-interventionist cellar approach.
Tasting note: A golden, crisp white that glows with confidence, it unfurls intense aromas of ripe pear, yellow peach, hawthorn, and hay. On the palate it is rustic yet rounded, with a silky texture and a lively, high-energy finish. Dry and medium-bodied, the nose tips slightly sweet, while refreshing acidity keeps it bold. Straw-yellow in appearance, with pear, peach and white flowers echoing through a light citrus and red-apple lift.
