Gelsomoro Bianco marche Igt – Verdicchio – Il Gelsomoro
Vinification: A natural, 100% Verdicchio from Italy, produced with organic and biodynamic methods. It undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel or cement tanks, then rests about six months on its lees, yielding a fresh, saline, mineral-driven wine with minimal wood exposure. Grown on clay-limestone soils by the sea, the 6,000‑m vineyard (planted 2015; full production 2019) emphasises sustainable practices, limited sulphur, and non-certified organic work, finished after 3/6 months in bottle.
Tasting Note: Of straw-yellow hue with pale green tints, this white wine is full and pulpy, its freshness sustained by bright acidity. The sea’s proximity is unmistakable, lending a salty, mineral backbone that lingers on the palate. Aromas of white flowers, peach, apricot and green apple mingle with citrus zest; the wine remains well-structured, persistent, and elegantly savoury.
