“LaSsuperiora” Blanc de Noir – Bardolino Superiore Docg – Villa Calicantus

Vinification: From a lofty Bardolino hilltop, two hectares are devoted to Lassuperiora, where stony, sandy soils impart deep minerality and vertical focus. Harvested in late September to benefit from the north winds, this wine is a blend of 70% Corvina, 10% Rondinella, 10% Molinara, and 10% Sangiovese, grown at 300m above sea level. Fermented with native yeasts in 225L barriques and aged seven months, it’s unfiltered, yielding 8,300 bottles.

Tasting note: A character-driven red wine of elegance, depth and a wild personality, tracing its roots to the oldest vines. Its complex bouquet unfurls dark fruits, black plum, blackberry, cassis, currant jam, balanced by clove and nutmeg, with a distinctly earthy, undergrowth note. The palate opens juicy and youthful, with finely tuned tannins and enduring dark fruit, touch of liquorice. The finish is savoury, energising, and long.
