Aglianico Campania Igp – Cantina Sanpaolo
Vinification: Situated at 600 metres above sea level, the vineyard thrives in clay soil with a south to south-west orientation. Manual harvesting occurs in the last week of October. After careful selection, the grapes are destemmed and pressed, fermenting in stainless steel tanks for about 15 days. Daily remontage enhances the extraction of colour and aromatic compounds. The wine matures in stainless steel for 12 months, followed by a brief period in second or third-generation barriques, and concludes with a short bottle ageing.
Tasting Note: A wine with an intense ruby colour with violet highlights. Its rich and complex bouquet reveals ripe red fruit aromas alongside hints of clove and cocoa. On the palate, it presents a well-balanced structure, showcasing elegant tannins and a prominent red fruit character, culminating in a lingering and full-bodied finish.
