Barbera d’Alba Doc “la” – Virna Borgogno

Vinification: Grapes are gently pressed, and the juice is allowed to macerate with the grape skins for 8 to 10 days at a maximum temperature of 28°C. During this time, the marc is periodically immersed and stirred. In the spring, the wine is transferred into wooden or steel casks, where it remains for 10 months before being bottled. Once bottled, the wine is aged for an additional 3 to 4 months before packaging and distribution.

Tasting Notes: With an intense ruby-red color, the Barbera wine has a full bouquet that opens up with oxygenation, revealing scents of plum and violet, along with hints of resin and spices. The flavor is full, warm, and lingering.
