Chianti Classico Docg “Cortine” – Pieve di Campoli
Vinification: The Cortine line is based on the special soil and climate of the Cortine vineyards. It uses a classic mix of grapes: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo, and Colorino. The grapes come from vineyards next to the winemaking cellar. They age for 12 months in used French oak barrels and then for another 3 months in the bottle.
Tasting Note: This wine is deep ruby red. Its rich aroma includes ripe fruit, floral notes, and spices. It feels full-bodied, balanced, and smooth in your mouth, with a good level of tannins and a lasting finish. It is also rightly tannic and persistent.
