Cio’ Bacaro – Doc Barbarano – Pialli

Barbarano showcases the pinnacle of Tai Rosso, the renowned native grape of the Berici Hills.

The average age of the vines is 16 years, situated in marly limestone soils with rich red clay and skeletal elements. The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes, followed by a two-week maceration period in stainless steel tanks. Spontaneous fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, and the wine undergoes 18 months of ageing in 500-litre French oak barrels, with an additional 12 months of bottle ageing. Vinified in its purest form, this wine features extended maceration on the skins and 18 months of ageing in cask. The final product results from low yields per vine and meticulous vineyard management, emphasising the utmost respect for the environment.
