San Lorenzo il Pecorino – Abruzzo Doc – San Lorenzo Winery

Once on the brink of extinction in the 1980s, this exceptional local white grape has made a remarkable resurgence, showcasing its unique qualities and flavours.
Winemaking:
100% Pecorino. This wine undergoes a harvest in the third decade of September. The process includes pressing and cryomaceration during the pre-fermentation phase, followed by fermentation at a meticulously controlled low temperature. This is complemented by a gentle pressing technique to ensure the utmost quality. The fermentation occurs at an exceptional temperature of 1 °C, and the wine is aged in the bottle to enhance its complexity and character.
Tasting Notes:
It presents a stunning straw yellow colour. On the nose, it captivates with an intense bouquet, featuring enticing notes of ripe fresh fruit, crisp green apple, delicate almond, and inviting floral aromas. It is impressively warm and rich on the palate, supported by a vibrant acidity that enhances its roundness and full-bodied character with an exquisite balance.
