Barolo Docg Cannubi Boschis – Virna Borgogno

Vinification: Barolo DOCG Cannubi Boschis is a wine crafted from Nebbiolo grapes, specifically the Lampia and Michet sub-varieties. The production process includes destemming and pressing, followed by a 10-day maceration on the skins. Alcoholic fermentation occurs at temperatures ranging from 29 to 31 °C, with periodic pumping over to enhance the extraction. For aging, the wine is first placed in stainless steel tanks for 24 months, followed by 18 months in oak barrels. Finally, it is aged in the bottle for an additional 6 months before release.

Tasting note: A ruby red colour wine with garnet hues. Its aroma is broad and features ripe fruit notes alongside ethereal hints. On the palate, the wine exhibits great structure and intensity; it is full-bodied and warm, with smooth, well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and persistent, leaving aromatic hints behind.
